The Junta de Andalucía announced yesterday its first measures to counter the emergence of the Sixth Wave in Andalucia.
As the increase in cases has been gradual but constant, the Comité de Expertos met on Friday and concluded with a request before the Regional High Court (TSJA) to authorise the imposition of the Covid Certificate (passport) as an obligatory document for visiting patients in hospitals or social-health centres.
The regional Minister for Health, Jesús Aguirre, assured that even though the situation in Andalucía is “low risk” projections drawn up on how the present situation will evolve indicate that “certain basic measures should be maintained as well as establishing tools that help us reinforce the protection of the more vulnerable members of the population.”
The Committee considers it necessary to maintain measures against “the agglomeration of people” (crowds/large gatherings) together with recommending “social distancing and preventative hygiene.”
They also want mask use maintained at large-audience events (sports, concerts, etc) even when held outdoors.
Ventilation in Bars and Night Clubs
Experts recommend adequate ventilation indoors in public establishments. In order to achieve this the Consejería de Salud y Familias, through its Dirección General de Salud Pública y Ordenación Farmacéutica, is drawing up a “A good practice guide for ventilation in restaurants, bars and nightclubs, etc.”
