The Last Desperate Call

The emergency services received a call from a man in a hostal to say that he didn't feel well and couldn't move and then he died.

AND Bomberos fire serviceThe 45-year-old man probably didn’t realise that he was in the throes of a heart attack and that he only had moments left – there was no way they could reach him in time but neither he nor the emergency services knew it.

This occurred in the early hours of this morning in a B&B establishment in the metropolitan area of Granada and 112 despatched the fire service and an ambulance.

The trouble was neither knew clearly what the problem was – the call had ended abruptly and it wasn’t clear whether the caller was trapped in his room or was ill.

When the fire personnel arrived at the hostal they knocked on his door and asked to be let in but there was no response, so they broke in through the door only to find his body. There was nothing they could do as his death had overtaken him in moments.

Terribly sad of course to die alone without friends nor family by your side
