There was a car accident in the middle of Salobreña Sunday morning, on the Avenida del Mediterráneo just down from the Panaderia El Postigo roundabout.

It was around 07.45h when the car rolled over and ended up on its roof, resulting in the driver and passenger suffering slight injuries.

The 22-year-old driver, who does not hold a valid driving licence, fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the vehicle, the police consider.

Both the Policía Local and the Guardia Civil turned up at the scene of the accident to control the traffic and take details from the people involved
