The socialist councillor at Motril Town Hall, Francisco Ruiz, visited the Punto Limpio and was not impressed by the state it was in.
The reason for his visit was to discover whether the complaints being posted on social media were accurate
“The installation are completely collapsed under material waiting to be processed, which is also creating an obstacle for vehicles accessing and leaving the Punto Limpio,” he said.
He observed that the Town Hall did not appear to be managing the removal of this material, most of which, he claims, are contaminants.
“It is not acceptable that a place designed to be a collection point for all kinds of material and objects should end up with the appearance of an uncontrolled rubbish tip, thanks to the laxity of the councillor in charge,” he concluded.
