Yes, that's right; that jolt you felt last night just before eleven thirty was an earth tremor that registered 4.5 on the Richter Scale.
The epicentre was beneath Cijuela, which is located on the Vega de Granada, not far from Santa Fe, with a population of just under 3,500 inhabitants.
It was followed by a second, slightly less strong, earth tremor under Santa Fe just two minutes later with an magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter Scale and with a intensity of IV (4)
However, it was felt down on Costa Tropical, as well as the rest of the province. In fact, although the intensity around the epicentre was V (5) it was felt right out in Estepona and Córdoba as a intensity of II (2) and on the Costa Tropical as intensity III (3).
Personally, I was sitting watching a Youtube video on a haunted Avro Lincoln bomber and as the narrator was just about to say that the pilot had died.. the chair I was sitting on lifted slightly off the floor and bumped back down – I was hoping it was an earth tremor in that instant and not a manifestation from the next world.
