Whilst three youngster in Torrenueva gave their generation a bad name, over in Almuñécar two from the same generation, handed in a lost wallet full of money.
The Almuñécar Policía Local were surprised when the honest duo handed over the wallet with almost 600 euros and a number of bankcards in it.
There is no doubt that teenagers and people in their 20s are getting a lot of (deserved) bad press, mainly connected with irresponsible and selfish behaviour when it comes to Covid measures, which is why this incident deserves to be highlighted.
It was late Saturday afternoon when two teens around 18 walked into the police station and plonked the bulging wallet on the counter. Inside were 597 euros, an ID card, driving licence and several bankcards – quite a loss for its owner, not to mention the bureaucratic hoops he would have to jump through to get his DNI and driving licence reissued.
Whoever the owner is, they still haven’t claimed it, probably thinking that they would never see it again.
