A Windy Monday

GRA Gale Alert 7:8DCThe Spanish, National Agency for Weather (AEMET) has issued an Orange Alert for the Costa Tropical tomorrow with winds expected up to 90kph.

The Alert level for the coast is Yellow from midnight, last night until 18.00h, when it will be raised to an orange-level warning until midnight Monday. Tuesday the weather conditions will remain the same most of the day.

High winds are also expected in Guadix, Baza, Nevada, Alpujarra from six this morning until midnight.

The agency gives the advice not to shelter from gusting winds behind walls or stand under building cornices nor trees. As for the coast, the obvious advice is don’t go near the surf if walking on the beach.

The sea state will see Wind Force 7 with 3m waves today. However Tuesday it is going to get worse with Wind Force 8 and 4m waves. No rain is expected on either day.

So, the good news is that it will be a great day for drying clothes; the bad news is that you had better put GPS trackers on them.
