It’s that time of year again because the La Herradura underwater-photography competition will be held during he second fortnight of this month.

The XXXII Campeonato de España de Fotografía Subacuática 2020 will be held between the 14th and 18th of October, explained the First Councillor for the village, Juan José Ruiz Joya.

The waters off La Herradura are some of the clearest matched by a fascinating seabed, making it one of the most popular diving destinations in the country, indeed attracting divers from all over Europe. So, what better place to hold such a competition, which not only covers photography, but also videos.

The said councillor says that it is a source of pride that the village has been chosen yet again for the prestigious national competition, which will see around 50 people, between competitors, judges and representatives from the Federación Española de Actividades Subacuáticas (FEDAs). Competitors hail from Murcia, Galicia, Cataluña, Andalucía, País Vasco, Castilla La Mancha, Castilla León, Canarias, Navarra, Valencia, Madrid and Asturias.
