The Mayor of Salobreña, María Eugenia Rufino, says that she has already had a meeting with the Head of the Dirección General de Costas concerning getting the breakwater project rolling, which she claims is “well advanced.” However, it is, again, in the clutches of the Environment Department.
Whilst all this is going on, the Town Hall is working on a project to build a paseo in front of the old sugar factor connecting La Guardia with La Caleta. If they can get it past Costas it will become part of the development of the TH1 sector.
