The Policía Nacional from Motril have arrested two men, suspected of carrying out the murder in Calahonda three weeks ago.
One of the men is a homeless man from Motril and the other was arrested in the north of Spain, in Irun (Guipuzcoa), where he had the intention of crossing the border into France.
The evidence that the police had accumulated against these men, thanks to the large amount of fingerprints, etc, left in the victim’s house, was enough to establish their identity and connection to the crime scene.
The 70-year-old victim lived alone and was a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the armed forces and who had made a comfortable amount of money as a building developer.
