A Dutchman on the run was arrested in a bar in San Pedro Alcántara in a joint Spanish/Dutch police operation.

The arrested man, who was a member of a bigger gang, had a European Arrest Warrant out on him, suspected of ordering murder using professional hitmen. Two of the ‘contracts’ had been carried out but whilst others had failed to materialise, all during the course of 2017.

The Policía Nacional were accompanied by Dutch police officers when they entered the bar and made the arrest. He was in the company of two other men of the same nationality at the time, who were also detained for questioning.
