Around 14.00h today there was a bomb-scare hoax in Salobreña, which had the emergency services speeding to the scene.
The caller had said that there was a bomb in a bank branch on Avenida Federico García Lorca, which the police had cordoned off within 15 minutes.
There was panic in the bank when the police turned up to say that there had been a bomb threat and to evacuate the building.
The person behind the call has since been arrested; somebody who comes to Salobreña to pass the summer.
