Another Almuñécar Power Cut

ALM BlackoutIt’s summer and lo, Almuñécar gets hit by power cuts, yet again, with just over a week to go before the big day on the 15th and the firework display.

The reason behind this latest blackout, says the utility company  Endesa, is that they are carrying out adjustments to prevent power cuts next week.

Furthermore, Endesa says that it is working with the Almuñécar Town Hall to solve these deficiencies and that, very soon, the company will invest 30,000 euros on 300 metres of cabling under the paseo.

They also said that they are installing ‘telemandos,’ which is a system that automatically reroutes power supplies if one area fails. So far they have installed one but in the coming months will instal another six, with a budget of 70,000 euros.

Editorial comment: they have had all year… all year raking in money from domestic electricity bills, to get this sorted out long before the commencement of summer, yet here we are, as August begins…

We know these standby systems too
But why must you people test and install your system while there are tourists and holidaying people in town ?
You got the whole year on getting the system installed and tested .
I would hate it to be troubled while on holiday here in town and would avoid spending my money here if it is aimed at tourists to hell with it
You are a pest to plague people with your problem

I am sorry to say this ,but as far as I know in the past 5 years I am resident power cuts were many without these explanations so even the mayor of the town threatened to take action
You yell us when the power is switched off in advance so we can accept it
But don’t cut it off for more than 4 hours ,because that will be too much
We know about techniques too we are retired engineers and technicians living on pension here
Don’t make our lives more miserable okay
