Last night at 18.00h the second elimination stage of the Andrés Segovia Classical Guitar Competition 2019 kicked off.
Nine guitarists competed in La Herradura’s Centro Cívico in this 37th Edition of this prestigous, international music event.
These nine ‘survivors’ from the first round were: Yuval Teeni (Israel, 1994), Lazhar Cheouana (France ,1988), Eilon Amir (Israel, 1994), Mircea Gogoncea (Rumania, 1992), Julia Trintschuk (Germany, 1997), Luis Guevara (Chile, 1987), Alexander Álvarez (Cuba, 1994), Agustín Nazzetta (Argentina, 1990) and Alejandro López (Almería-España, 1985).
This evening at 19.00h the next eliminatory stage begins, which is split into two sessions. Each of the competitors can choose a piece of their own choice, not lasting more than 20 minutes and then the obligatory piece, La Espiral Eterna (1971) by Leo Brouwer.
The final stage will be held Saturday at 19.00h, where the remaining competitors will play, backed by an orchestra, the Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga. That same evening the judges will announce the winner (22.00h).
