Thinking about flying from Granada to Madrid? Think again because Iberia might be pulling some of the flights.
The Chairman of the Provincial Council, José Entrena, is far from happy about this and points out that it was already bad enough that Granada was cut off from a rail service for over three years without it now losing its flight connections as well.
“Granada has great tourism potential,” he said, “which can’t afford the loss of the first and last flight of the day to Madrid.”
He said that they were not going to stand for it, but it’s not clear what the Council intends to do about it, short of throwing breadcrumbs onto the runaway in the hope that it will entice passing planes to land…
