A middle-age man was killed in a car accident on Boxing Day near Fornes, which belongs to the municipality of Arenas del Rey.
The accident occurred around 11.10h not far from the Resinera junction on the Pantano de Bermajales back road when the car driven by the 50-year-old man overturned, trapping him.
It was a Guardia Civil patrol that came across the accident and informed 112, which despatched an ambulance and the fire service from Alhama de Granada.
However, there was nothing to be done for the victim as he had died in the crash.
