The Guardia Civil in Santa Fe have brought a man from Láchar before the magistrate for fraud after using somebody else’s bank card.
The 53-year-old man had been standing behind another user of an ATM, who had left his card still in the machine when he left.
So little time had passed that the accused was able to continue making bank movements with it – he withdrew one-hundred euros.
The next day when the victim was checking his account he noticed the 100 euros missing… and that he couldn’t find his card, so he went round to the bank to tell them what had happened and on their advice, then went to the Guardia Civil post to report it.
The CCTV security footage showed how when the victim left another person immediately started using the ATM and withdrew 100 euros and of course, the time coincided perfectly with the withdrawal from the victim’s account.
