A 6-year-old girl has been removed from her mother’s custody owing to an abysmal lack of schooling, nutrition and hygiene.
But it doesn’t stop there because the mother has also been found guilty of not taking any interest in protecting the child from violence and alleged sexual abuse in the family home.
The Granada law courts backed the earlier intervention carried out by the Servicio de Protección de Menores when they took the child into care.
The mother had claimed before the judge that she had not taken part in any of the acts of violence against the little girl, blaming both the biological father and the victim’s brother.
As a result of this latest court decision, the child will remain in administrative care and both the mother and father will be denied access.
