Endesa has been busy digging up the area around the top of Almuñécar (La Carrera) modernising the town’s electrical supply.
Of course, you can’t just start digging trenches in a place like Almuñécar without hooking out something of archeolocial importance, which is why the municipal archeologists has been on site.
The work consists of changing two underground lines: one from the Centro de Transformación Los Cactus (next to the bar of that name) and the other under the Cuesta de la Iglesia.
Endesa was busy earlier in the year doing similar work along Avenida Costa del Sol and Calle Guadix.
