Great news! The Sierra Nevada ski station will open tomorrow, Saturday, thanks to a last minute agreement between workers and Cetursa.
The workers committee accepted a pre-accord Thursday night and called off the looming strike. This means that nothing stands in the way of the ski station opening well ahead of schedule, thanks to the abundant snow up there.
Curiously, one of the points agreed upon was that the University of Granada carried out a study on the affects on workers’ health with their being at that altitude over extended periods (hypoxia).
But anyway, the result is that you can dig out your skis & stuff and stomp up to the top of the Sierra Nevada because the seasons begins!
