The Almuñécar motorbike club, Los Tiburones, will be riding out of their caves to wreak havoc on the gentle townsfolk of Almuñécar, sort of thing.

Actually, they’re nice people and have completely moved on from rape, pillage and dominoes.

The XIX bike meet will be on the 2nd and 3rd of June and it is hoped that around 500 bikes will show up – we’re talking about vehicles; not wanton women. They’re even expecting grizzled-guiri participants!

The location – how could it be otherwise – is El Parque Pozuelo – Pepe Matías, (Taramay) named after a very dear friend, El Chispas, (Díos te bendiga donde estès, Tío) and beloved, deceased member of the local bikers’ club.

Besides a tour around the town, there will be a prize for the biker who has travelled from most afar to get there.

This year the theme is the 80s. “We want it to be a great bikers’ party, not only for the ones from the Costa Tropical, but also for the province and Andalucia,” said one of the organisers.

So, why not pop down to Taramay and have some fun with the two-wheeled Vikings! And yes, the photo is sexist, so write to my MP!
