The Green Meanies a.k.a. The Guardia Civil, arrested two brothers in Órgiva for the illegal possession of firearms.

The brothers, aged 32 and 30, just happened to have a sawn-off shotgun and plenty of ammunition in their home, which came to light in a police search.

The police had ‘caught a whiff’ of a rumour that the men were hiding a sawn-off, which most readers will agree is a naughty firearm and had obtained a search warrant.

So, on the 21st of this month they searched two houses, in the first they found the said shotgun, which apart from missing an impressive amount of barrel, was also missing its serial number.

The police are now investigating whether it was stolen or had been used in a crime, even though there is no ballistics to study.
