You will have the chance to see the excellent film, Dunkirk, in English on Tuesday the 16th at 18.00h in Almuñécar. It will be screened in the Casa de la Cultura, as always.

Synopsis: starring Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hardy, but introducing a whole host of young, relatively unknown actors in leading roles, the film gives a new, very immediate take on the Second World War evacuation of allied troops from the beaches of Dunkirk in 1940.

Interestingly, the enemy – the advancing Germans, are never seen only ‘felt’ giving the film its very effective sensations of desperation, chaos and urgency.
