Motril will be repeating its Feria de Stock experience lasting a week, which will coincide with Black Friday.
The same as last year, shopkeepers will be showing off their stock in front of their shops, rather than inside. There are limitations: a max of two tables or two trestles.
Councillor Feixas explained that the event is to give a boost to the commercial area of town; i.e., the main shopping streets, as Christmas approaches.
This Feria de Stock runs from Monday the 20th to Saturday the 25th of November, from 10.00h to 13.30h and then 18.00h to 21.00h.
The Chairman of the Motril Chamber of Commerce, Ángel Gijón, says that the idea is for shops to be able to shift their existing stocks in order to bring in new stock for Christmas.
The last Feria de Stock was held in August and went very well.
Anyway, if you run a shop you can get your name down for it at the Department of Commerce in the Plaza de la Trinidad or phone 958 83 83 79. Finally, there is an email address: anejosycomercio@motril.
