Saturday the 22nd of July saw the extra, weekend services of the municipal bus commence.

It has long been a demand of Los Salobreñeros, especially the elderly and those with mobility problems, who rely more heavily on municipal transport.

This extra service is fruit of a deal struck between the Town Hall and the bus company that provides the municipal bus service and will be on trial until the 30th of July, but if there is a demand then it will continue throughout August as well.

The extra weekend services will run at 20.00h and 23.00h, which will stop at the lifeguard post on the beach, Los Faroles, Salomar 2000, the Town Hall Square, Plaza de Goya, the Municipal market and the old town.

If it is found that there is little call for these two extra trips, then they will be dropped, but the normal weekend service will continue, obviously throughout July and August.

So now you know; if you want the extra service, make sure you use it next weekend!
