A Motril lawcourt has sentenced a shepherd to 3-years imprisonment for a marihuana plantation in Lujar with 5,160 plants – the largest one in Granada in years.
He also had a wonky-weed greenhouse in his house in Granada which had an illegal electricty hook-up.
The judge also imposed a 252,000-euro fine, as well as court costs… years in prison apart, just the fine works out at just under 50 euros a plant!
The discovery of his green-fingered marvel was in July 2016, which was when a Guardia Civil patrol stumbled on the giggle jungle situated in the area known as Hornillo.
So big was the haul that it was later valued at 251,676 euros at street value, which is probably how they came by the fine figure.
