The Guardia Civil in Almuñécar have arrested a couple, aged 28 and 30, over several break-ins around the town in the last month. They both have criminal records.

The said burglaries were carried out between the 4th of February and the 4th of March in local businesses causing considerable alarm.

The same modus operandi was used in all the break-ins: the culprits forced windows to gain access, targeting whatever money had been left in the till, as well as any object of value that would be easy to sell quickly.

The Guardia Civl consider that they have been responsible for six break-ins; two bars, a self-service shop, a hairdresser’s and a veterinary clinic. The police consider that they might have carried out other burglaries, so their investigations continue.
