Hospital Lockers Forced

MOT Hospital Lockers OnLA 50-year-old man in Motril was arrested, accused of forcing open several clothes lockers in Hospital Santa Ana.

The accused allegedly forced eight lockers and a wing entrance door, which, damage caused and items taken, amounts to a loss of 1,208 euros.

The Guardia Civil began their investigations after receiving a complaint from the head of hospital security, reporting thefts having been carried out in the early hours of the morning.

The lockers, which had been forced with a large screwdriver, belong to resident doctors and medical specialists. The only thing stolen, however, was 20 euros from inside a wallet.

On a different floor (Psiquiatría) the accused reportedly forced its main door and made off with three cameras, a 42-inch flat-screen TV, a mobile phone and other material.

From evidence found and information obtained, the police were able to identify the suspect and arrest him. The man, who has a criminal record, was charged and released, pending appearing before a magistrate.
