Yes, it’s that wonderful time of year again and the beach blue zones are coming into force on Monday the 22nd of June, until the 15th of Septemberr.
Last year was the first year ever in Salobreña for blue zones and as there was no rioting or human sacrifices, so they’ve decided to do it again, bless their cotton socks!
There are fewer blue-zone parking spaces on the beach road, but not because the Town Hall is getting soft, but because the eastern end is closed to traffic whilst they rebuild it. Even when it is reopened, there will be no blue zone down that end because it will be for pedestrians only.
The blue zones have a total of 560 parking spaces, running along the beach road and the Avenida del Mediterráneo as far as the Parque La Fuente.
The company that is managing the blue zones is Estacionamientos y Serviciosque, and their office can be found on Avenida del Mediterráneo number 9.
As for 2-way traffic along the paseo, it is already one-way only, (east bound) so don’t forget!
