A 59-year-old foreign resident (nationality not given) has been charged a forest fire in Llanos de Bayácar in the municipality of Órgiva.

Guardia Civil investigations had turned up that he had been lighting bonfires related with farming tasks.

It appears that the man lost control of the bonfire on which he was burning cuttings and the fire extended into the nearby wooded area.
