The Cafetería-Bar Califa is much more than just somewhere to have coffee and a snack: it’s a mini culture centre.
But let’s start with the cafeteria-bar side of it, which opens at 08.00h and offers freshly made croissants, a variety of different toast combinations, English breakfasts, freshly made orange and carrot juices and a bloody good cup of coffee!
Come midday you have traditional hot dishes and at teatime (la merienda) you have homemade cakes, made by Charo, waffles, crepes and milkshakes.
And evening times are culture times, depending on the evening there is live jazz, pop or soul music. On Wednesdays, for example, you can take tango classes and all this whilst viewing the painting or photographic exhibitions.
