A traffic accident in the centre of Motril resulted in a heated argument, with an elderly driver attacking the other with a saw.

Directly after the collision between the two cars, the drivers got out and started to argue. At one point both returned to their cars only to appear again for ’round two,’ but this time with the elder of the two armed with the saw. Using the ‘weapon’ he managed to wound the other driver on the arm and leg.

By the time that the Policia Local turned up, the assailant had disappeared. The injured man was taken to hospital and was soon patched up. Upon going to press, the police were still looking for the ‘Motril Saw Man.’
