Pinching Pigs in Ferreira

The owner of a pig farm in Ferreira, Guadix, lost 15 pigs, a generator and numerous tools to thieves in the early hours of one morning. The said owner, Virtudes Suárez, is not amused.

She calculates that at least five people were involved, as the 15 missing pigs weighed between 40 and 50 kilos each, not to mention a pretty heavy electrical generator and an assortment of farm tools. She also pointed out that the thieves will have a hard time selling the stolen porkies because no butcher will risk buying them without their documentation.

The previous night burglars had broken into a chalet in nearby Dólar, whilst the owners slept.
