The socialist Mayor of La Linea in Cádiz, Gemma Araujo, has begun disciplinary action against a municipal policeman who gave her a parking fine.

Her official car was parked in a reserved-parking area for municipal vehicles, but it had nothing on it to say that it was an official car – well, that’s at least the policeman’s point of view, which is why he slapped a parking fine behind the windscreen wiper.

The Mayor doesn’t see it that way. This should be interesting…
