The joy of my work is that, every now and then, I get to write about people that I genuinely like. Adam is a very talented artist… that much is self evident, however, and in my experience, unusually, his talent sits comfortably within his personality. You get no over massaged ego, no self-indulgent artistic moods, just a kind and generous man who has blessed the area by living here, thus giving us regular access to his work.
So, if he’s not going to ‘big himself up’, I’ll just have to do it for him…
Adam is an impressionist artist and photographer who has a Masters Degree in Design and Design Management from Central St. Martins in London, he also holds a PG Cert. Ed., teaching qualification.
His artistic career has included 16 years of teaching design-based subjects at The London Institute (now The University of Arts).
Despite his obvious educating skills, Adam’s real love is painting, and has exhibited in that medium across England, including London, and his work now hangs in business premises and private homes (including mine), across the world, and he is constantly in demand for private commissions.
Adam loves the Costa Tropical and believes his work is greatly influenced by the elements, light and textures, which he uses to create layer, depth and reflective qualities, and nearly always working to a theme. Last year it was trees and this year we see peacocks… and, rumour has it, there are some elephants just around the corner!
His photographic work is stunning, and even includes a beautiful La Herradura photographic calendar for 2010, available on RedBubble along with cards and prints to frame. To view Adam’s Bubble gallery, go to -www.redbubble.com/people/AdamRegester or enjoy his work at his own website – www.adamregester.com, and you can even join his Facebook group at – http://www.facebook.com/pages/ARTIST-Adam-Regester-MA-CSM-PGCert-Ed/90443956273?ref=nf
If you haven’t got an Adam Regester original on one of your walls, could you please get down to one of the many places that sell his work, such as Indigo in La Herradura and pick one up… we love ours, and you’d be very silly not to.
