First Movements on 7-Star Site

Work began towards the end of last month on the hillside where the 7-star hotel is planned, after the Town Hall gave the green light for geo-technical surveys; i.e., sinking bore holes for strata samples.

Mother and Son Arrested

The mother had reported a break-in during August of 2010 at their home in Castell de Ferro, with the resulting loss of money and jewellery amounting to 5,100 euros. Almost exactly a year later the son did the same, this time for 5,050 euros.

Veil Violence

A man has been found guilty of threatening his wife for refusing to wear a veil in Linares. It was was proved that he continually threatened her for leaving the house without covering her head or simply going out without his permission.

Past Catching Up

A 62-year-old Columbian man has been remanded in custody without bail over a murder committed 18 years ago. The man, Genaro Ramallo, is suspected of having murdered his wife and her son all those years ago on a farm belonging to him, in the province of Huelva
