The robbers attempted to raid a games hall on Calle Alboran, Salobrena at the beginning of the week. The robbery was frustrated, thanks to a routine, Local-Police patrol around 15.00h on Monday the 9th.

Municipio Turistico?

It was one of Benny’s last achievements before the elections changed his employment: Almunecar was to awarded the title of Municipio Turistico. Now the new Mayoress is just as keen to see this thing through and has announced the the agreement will be signed with the Junta in the Autumn.
Jelly Fish Toll

Owing to the unstable weather at the beginning of July, it appeared that there were no jelly fish around, but around they were, as the first-aid posts on Almunecar’s beaches reported. In fact, nearly 700 bathers turned up for treatment for jelly-fish stings.
