MOT Falling Blind at SchoolA heavy Persian blind from a 2nd-floor window in Los Álamos junior school in Motril crashed to the ground, narrowly missing people leaving the building below.

The incident coincided with the 2-o’clock, end of the school day and the patio was full of kids. However, nobody was hurt.

The Head Teacher explained that the school had been built at the beginning of the 80s and was crying out for maintenance, which is the responsibility of the Town Hall.

She concluded that the incident has had the positive affect of bringing attention to this maintenance deficit.

Logically, the social media was alive with comments from parents with children at that school, criticising both the Town Hall and Junta for this state of affairs.
