ATM for Paying Taxes

ALM Town Hall CajeroThe Almuñécar Town Hall has come up with a cajero automático (ATM) where you can pay in your municipal tax bills – whoopeeee!

This diabolical machine is situated at the entrance to the Policia Local Station, which is in the bus-station building.

It’s a 24-hour service so if you feel an irresistible urge to pay a tax bill in the early hours of the morning, you can do precisely that! Today’s Sunday but that won’t be an obstacle for you from inflating the municipal coffers with your hard-earnt bread.

The Councillor for the Economy & Inland Revenue (Hacienda) Antonio Laborda, explained that residents could pay taxes and fines etc, thanks to the machine having a barcode reader. Strangely enough, the machine won’t pay out any money that the Town Hall may owe you.

The machine accepts notes and coins, as well as credit cards… and human sacrifies.

The said councillor said that they had chosen the police station because it is open 24/7/365, plus the fact that those amongst us with a hazy grasp on private ownership might be less inclined to raid the bloody thing.
