Costa Tropical Chef Competition

BZDIR Hotel VictoriaThe Almuñécar Town Hall has announced the 9th edition of the Tropical Chef 2019 competition, which already has 20 participants registered.

Each will have to work with the same ingredients: brótola (a deep sea fish known as forkbeard), avocado and chirimoya (custard apple).

The competition starts on March 5th and the finalists will battle it out on March 12th with different ingredients. This time it will be a surprise box with five fish and five meats.

The competition winner will walk away with smelly fingers and a very nice 1,200 euros.

The Councillor for Tourism at the Town Hall, Rafael Caballero, said that anyone that promotes the products of Almuñécar will find an ally in the Tourist Board.

The chef in charge of the event, Daniel Bastón, thanked the Town Hall for their support and also Hotel Victoria Playa, who are giving over their facilities for the contest.
