ALM 2018 Tapa RouteThe next Tapa Route in Almuñécar is only a week away and comprises of 27 different restaurants and bars, etc.

The IV Ruta de la Tapa will be held on two consecutive weekends: the 19th to the 21st and then from the 26th to the 28th.

If you want to know which establishments are participating and what their star tapa is, read on but you’ve obviously been smoking something illegal if you think that I am going to translate the tapa descriptions!:

There’s a fixed price set by the event organisers of 2.50 euros for a tapa and a beer, for competing establishments. The price accompanied by any other drink other than a small beer can be set by each establishment.

You all already know how this works: you get a ‘passport’ which is stamped wherever you try one of the star tapas. You hand it in (minimum five stamps) and get to compete in a raffle. The best tapa is decided by both a judges’ panel (40%) and the votes cast by passport holders (60%)

The idea is to promote the local hostelry trade and make people fat & flatulent… Just joking!
