AND Missing GabrielFriday the 9th saw a large demonstration in Almería in support of the parents of the missing boy, Gabriel Cruz from Níjar. According to the police, there were around 8,000 people present.

The case of Gabriel has touched the hearts of the nation and volunteers from several provinces have been involved in the search sweeps across neighbouring areas of this national park.

The tearful parents addressing the gathered supporters, begged the person who had taken their son to release him and let him return to them.

Thousands of school children from many schools have been drawing little fishes (Gabriels nickname is Pescaito) in support of Gabriel, who went missing twelve days ago.

He literally disappeared somewhere along the 100 metres that separate his grandmother’s house and his cousins’ house in this rural area of Níjar.

Present at the demonstration in support of the family were the parents of other missing/murdered children, such as the father and grandfather of Marta del Castillo (kidnapped and probably murdered in 2009, although her body has never been found) and the mother of Sandra Palo; a 22-year-old, handicapped girl who was raped and murdered in 2003.
