MOT Galleon VisitThe 4-day galleon visit to Motril attracted 5,300 visitors, amongst them 300 schoolchildren, with the last day, Sunday, being the day with the most visitors.

People came from all over the province to see Galeón Andalucía; its first such visit to the port.

It is now sailing for Cartegena for a similar visit but with a treasure of at least 25,000 euros onboard, fruit of the Motril takings!

The 55-metre-long ship – an exact replica – was built as part of the Guadalquivir Río de Historia project, which was part of the Spanish pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Universal Expo.
