SAL Old Town HallThe Asociación de Vecinos del Casco Antiguo de Salobreña is preparing a photo exhibition of old photographs of the town; they need your help.

They are asking families in the town to lend such photographs to the exhibtion, which is entitled, Our Yesterday; What We Are Today, and which will be held in the Radio Salobreña building.

The idea is that locals bring their old photos along to be scanned and given back, so there is no chance of them being lost.

Furthermore, each exhibit will be numbered so that the viewing public can vote to see which is the most popular. The winning photo will be enlarged and mounted at the entrace to the said building.

There is plenty of time so that if you have any Spanish friends with old photos, or indeed, if you have some yourself from visits many years ago, you have until the 1st of February to do so.

If you’re submitting an original photo, make sure that it is in an envelope with your name and address on it so that it can be returned. However, you can also submit a photo in digital format.

All the photos must be original and ones taken from Internet or social media will not be accepted.
