The Museo del Jamón in Trevélez – let’s face it; the Mecca of Jamón Serrano in the Alpujarras is the initiative of Jamones Vallejo. The Head of the Provincial Council, José Entrena Ávila considers that the project is both innovating and very intersting.”

The Mayor, Víctor Expósito, pointed out that it was a money spinner for the village, which will complement the existing other tourist attractions like hiking and the local cuisine. He added that they have other projects in the pipeline like monolith.

The museum takes visitors from the Roman times to the present. There is also a video film on the curing process for the hams.
