Rancho Río Verde News

ALM Tarmacking WorkThe Almuñécar Town Hall has begun the paperwork for the eventual re-tarmacking of the Camino/Calle Rancho Río Verde. That’s the area on the hillside above the Guardia Civil post, accessed from the tight bend (old Rest Mateano) on the N-340.

The funds (80,000 euros) are coming from the Provincial Council using Inversiones Financieras Sostenible 2017.

The Councillor for Urban Development, José Manuel Fernández Medina, explained that it would affect a stretch of 1,750 metres of the said lane giving a width of five metres.

Besides the laying of a 4cm-deep layer of tarmac, the roadside verges will be cleared and rain drainage improved.

The work contract must be awarded by the 31st of December and finished by the 30th of April, 2018.
