MOT Hunting Fair 2017A hunting fair is being held in the Plaza de Toros this weekend in Motril, where there is the largest exhibition of birds of prey in the whole of Andalucia.

Besides this star attraction, there will be handicraft, hunting clothes, an arms collection, virtual, clay-shooting, as well as an exhibition of hunting dogs and an archery display. There’s even a bouncy castle for kids.

This hunting fair, entitled TropiCaza and organised by the Club Deportivo de Caza, Los Tablones, attracts a larger following each year, with people coming from as far afield as Jaén, Almería and Málaga.

The fair begins today, Saturday, at 12.00h with a falconry exhibition, followed at 13.00h by display of ferrets and then hunting dogs at 16.00h. In fact, the hunting dogs will be put through their paces at 17.00h in a special display.

Tomorrow, Sunday the 8th, activities start at noon with another falconry display, followed at 13.00h by ferrets and then the hunting dogs at 16.00h.

Basically, Sunday is a complete repeat of Saturday, so if you do miss a particular activity today, you can catch it tomorrow.
