SAL Tadeo Jones PresentationSalobreña was the epicentre of national media interest today, thanks to a Spanish cartoon character, Tadeo Jones; a brickie turned Indiana Jones, hence the surname.

Reporters from 20 national dailies, representatives from international communication groups like Mediaset and Paramount Pictures and a long etc, gathered in this little Costa Tropical town because the castle was the scene in the sequel film: Tadeo Jones 2: El Secreto del Rey Midas.

Although the film was set in several location in the province, such as Generalife (Alhambra) and the Albaicín, Salobreña castle was also specially featured in this full-length cartoon.

The Mayor was sporting a wall-to-wall smile and the Councillor for Tourism emphasised what a golden tourism bonus this was for the town.

Enhorabuena Salobreña!
