A young dolphin has been found dead, washed up on La Herradura beach, at the Punta end known as La Caleta.

The creature, which measured a little over a metre long, showed no injuries but had obviously been dead for a while, owing to the signs of decomposition.

According to workers whose task it is to maintain the beaches, this is the second dead dolphin that has appeared in the last few days. The other, however, was a larger adult and in a much more advanced state of decomposition.
