A young couple have been arrested for allegedly stealing the very car that they had just sold to an unsuspecting victim.

The couple, aged, 24 & 29, residents of Láchar and both with criminal records, were charged with theft, forging registration plates and fraud. The woman was also charged for driving without a licence.

The police were already looking for the woman after her flat mate denounced her for stealing his credit card.

Anyway, the couple had originally bought the car for 25,000 euros from a car dealer in February and had then sold it for 19,000 euros. However and reportedly, they used a spare set of keys to steal the car two weeks later.

Very clever… but not clever enough, obviously.
